European Night of Literature – European Childhood
The European Night of Literature is a unique cultural event that celebrates the best of contemporary European literature. This year’s theme, "European Childhood," highlights stories from 11 countries, each exploring the nuances of growing up in Europe. The featured works, written by celebrated authors, reflect on societal dynamics, family challenges, and nostalgic memories.
To convey the distinct character of each story, readings will be performed by well-known Israeli actors such as Adi Gilat, Alon Friedman, Liron Ben-Shlush, and Yiftach Klein. Additionally, the event includes a rich program of screenings of short films and a discussion with contemporary Israeli writers.
Stories will be presented from Austria, Czechia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Spain. The event will be held in hebrew.
Doors open and cocktail (first come first served) begins at 7 p.m.
The event is in cooperation with the Czech Centre Tel Aviv, Goethe Institute Israel, Austrian Cultural Forum Tel Aviv, Polish Institute Tel Aviv, Embassy of Greece, Romanian Cultural Institute Tel Aviv, Embassy of Portugal, Instituto Cervantes Tel Aviv, Embassy of France, Institut Français Tel Aviv, Istituto Italiano di Cultura Tel Aviv, European Delegation to Israel and EUNIC.
